Linda Reid-Lobatto has been working closely with Amanda Hill from IDS Grishko UK, (the importer and distributor of Grishko pointe shoes into the UK). Amanda is passionate about training her stockists in the art of Pointe Shoe Fitting. Amanda and Linda hold special one-day seminars together for pointe shoe fitters based on the work of Esther Juon and many others. These courses are held for Stockists, Teachers, dancers and other interested people.

Development of the Dancer

Assessment of readiness for Pointe

Fundamental step-by-step Pointe Shoe fitting

Solving Problem Feet (uses of different shoes and foot products)

Health and Safety Aspects

If we prepare the feet of dancers before the commencement of pointe work, we can make a world of difference and save unnecessary damage to young feet, prolonging the career of professional dancers.

Participants receive course notes and a certificate. Attendance will be noted on our stockist locator so customers can see which shops have been on our training day.

Duration:

10:00 am to 4:00 pm with breaks for finger lunch and tea/coffee.

When:

Courses are generally run every six months in January and July on Sundays.
